Dien Chan addresses two possible causes of insomnia: poor circulation in the extremities and overactive brain activity. By using multireflex tools to work on specific areas of reflexive patterns, circulation is improved and the mind is soothed, promoting restful sleep.

It is important to distinguish between possible causes:
— Cold extremities
— Overactive brain activity
Scenario A:
If you are someone who wears socks to bed, uses a hot water bottle on your legs, or frequently has cold feet and/or hands, it indicates a slowing of blood circulation in the evening.
To restore balance and achieve restful sleep, you will need two multireflex tools: the Little-hammer nº128 and the Health yang ball nº432. On nights when you have trouble falling asleep, the Yin rake nº416 will be your indispensable ally.
Before going to bed, start by gently tapping between your eyebrows and on your chin with the Little-hammer nº128 about fifty times. This stimulates the shoulders and feet, thereby strengthening fluid movements in the extremities. Then, lightly tap along the bridge of your nose about thirty times to encourage vital energy to flow along your spine (according to the diagram of reflexion of the extremities on the face).
Once in bed, roll the Health yang ball nº432 under your left foot. Repeat the same action under your right foot for an additional minute. The mechanical action of the yang health ball’s spikes gives a boost to circulation.
Feel free to roll the same ball between your hands before placing it on your bedside table. You are now «ready to go» to peacefully fall asleep and enjoy restorative sleep.
Scenario B:
If you find it difficult to let go and stop thinking about things before going to bed, it means your «mental bicycle» continues to pedal without rest. This is a very common cause of insomnia.
After you’ve closed your last file of the day, take the time to rake your scalp with the Yin rake nº416. Make about fifty strokes from the top of your forehead to the nape of your neck, not forgetting the sides of your skull. This step is extremely important, even though it may seem simple. It helps rebalance cerebral irrigation while calming your mind’s activity. Your thoughts begin to organise, and your stress diminishes.
Since we’re addressing the nervous system, let’s use the techniques discovered by Professor Bùi Quôc Châu to calm his patients’ withdrawal symptoms. These are the famous
Learn to locate these four points·
— Bqc·points 124· are located on the first quarter of your forehead, vertically aligned with the outer tangent of your iris. It’s where we should have horns!
- Bqc·points 34· are situated between your eyebrows, on the curve at the start of your eyebrow arch.
You can perform about fifty taps on each of these points and appreciate the sensation of calm that envelops you. Then repeat once again a little later. Feel free to do it while watching your favourite TV show. In that case, the tapping will be spaced out over time depending on the twists and turns of the story!
By performing these simple gestures and taking care of your mind and nervous system, you can finally bid farewell to restless thoughts and welcome peaceful and restorative sleep. Good night!
Practising these routines before bed is essential to prepare the mind and body for rest. Engaging in stress-reducing and repetitive activities, such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or mindfulness meditation, helps send signals to the brain indicating that it’s time to sleep.
However, the effects may vary among individuals, but many people notice an improvement in sleep quality after regularly practising these exercises for a few weeks. It’s important to be constant and follow the recommendations to achieve optimal results.
